Dear ASLP Community,
I would like to congratulate our students, staff, and parents for participating in the 2nd Annual Run-athon on November 25th. This year Ms. Athena organized the event with the help of many colleagues. Students, teachers, and parents alike raised several thousand euros for the Save The Children organization in Nigeria, Africa. The event combines a strong sense of service for others along with good physical excersice. Shortly after the run began I realized how much more exercise I need. I am now training for next year!

In addition, Tuesday students will be dismissed at normal time and teachers will be available to meet again from 3:30-4:30pm. As we complete the restoration project of Cactus Hill I would like
to thank you for your patience during the past few months. Whereas, the
preservation of these beautiful Canarian homes was very important from
a historical perspective, the project was originally conceived to
provide additional classrooms for our growing student population while
improving the school’s facilities. In recognition of the project’s
termination, I cordially invite you to an inaguration ceremony which
will take place at our annual Open House this Thursday, October 23rd
beginning in the cafeteria at 7:00pm. Following a brief welcome,
parents will have the opportunity to visit classrooms and learn more
about teachers and the school’s educational programs. Finally, the
inaguration ceremony will begin at 8:45pm. This evening is primarily
for the benefit of ASLP parents. Children should only attend if they
remain with parents throughout the evening.
