- SFL (Spanish as a Foreign Language)
- Offered to students in all grades as a support for learning Spanish, incorporating into the regular Spanish Language class or preparing for AP Spanish
- Support is similar to ESL
- ESL (English as a Second Language)
- Most students’ native language is not English; basic ESL support is given in the English classroom
- Entrance exam results and progress determine whether extra support is needed
- A specialist with a degree from Cambridge sets up individual or semi-individual classes which meet three times per week
- Support is given for regular class work
- Frequent evaluations and assessments help to monitor progress and determine when students are prepared to fully incorporate into all classes
- Learning enrichment
- Offered on a need-basis
- A school counselor provides guidance and resources for teachers and parents
- Course objectives and evaluation procedures may be adapted
- Follow-up is facilitated through frequent meetings between teachers, parents tutor and counselor
