The Governing Board of the American School of Las Palmas is made up of a minimum of five and a maximum of nine parents. Board members are elected, conduct meetings and vote according to the provisions an instructions of the statutes decided upon at the General Assembly. Offices shall be held for three years without the possibility of reelection. All parents are encouraged to attend the General Assembly meetings and participate in the voting procedures. There is no remuneration or compensation of any kind for being on the board.
