The course caters for the whole range of student abilities and enables them to experience a variety of research and practical skills. It stresses active learning leading to the mastering of critical and creative thinking – essential skills both in the lab and beyond. Students acquire the ability to interpret information, to solve problems and make decisions. The course is founded on a solid base of general science up to the eighth grade and thereafter the individual disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Physics are introduced on a year by year basis. In twelfth grade students are prepared for the Selectividad, or Spanish university entrance exam.
