Ceramics
In Ceramics, students will learn techniques to construct, glaze and fire their pieces. Projects will include both functional (pottery for food) and non-functional pieces (sculpture, murals, etc) and students will develop their own creativity with each project. Clay, like other art forms have therapeutic qualities that can settle and calm children.

Cross country
Cross country is back! Students will participate in long distance running and training This means the students will be stronger and better prepared for races. We would like to form a team and have students compete with other students on the island. Cross country provides opportunities to reinforce skills such as discipline, mental strength and stamina.
Days: Thursdays.

Digital Typing
Digital Typing is an activity which uses the most innovative system to learn how to use the keyboard with all your fingers while looking at the screen. Students will master this technique during the academic year and, as well, they will be able to copy any document into a computer three times faster.

Horseback riding
Partnering with our local center, Hípica El Sabinal, students will be able to learn the techniques for horseback riding. They will learn how to control the animal’s movement and speed with effectiveness. Students will practice riding horses in a controled environment and develop an appreciation for animals. All ability levels are welcome to join, from novice to advanced riders.
Days: Mondays.
Grades: From 5th grade to Upper School.

Karate
Karate is a very popular sport and is highly recommended to develop self-confidence, to promote team work and to foster respect for others. The activity focuses on fun, active games and technical learning.

Move your feet!
The fundamental characteristic of body movement, dance and psychomotor development is the ability to coordinate and integrate both body and mind. Body movement provides opportunities for integral coordination through the sequence of movements and memory while stretching and toning the muscles and improving aerobic capacity.
The musical atmosphere teaches students to control their emotions and to release stress.

Model United Nations M.U.N
This activity allows young people to learn about and understand the role of the United Nations. They work on public speaking skills and research important world issues like regional conflicts, peace-making, human rights and protecting the environment. This course also works on such skills as diplomacy and compromise.

Soccer Club
Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. A healthy team spirit fosters coordination and cooperation amongst children.
